Shoreline Mafia shut down London for the second time in less than a year
Words by Karan Teli
Shoreline Mafia, less than a year after putting on one of 2018’s most memorable shows at Scala, we’re back in London for another sold out show – this time at Islington Assembly Hall. Much like their show at Scala – craziness, rage and mosh pits ensued.
Fresh off the release of Party Pack Vol. 2, Shoreline Mafia hit the road for their Europe/UK Tour. With still 2 weeks of the tour left, it may already be hard to top the London show. Ohgeesy and Fenix Flexin, representing on behalf of the entirety of Shoreline Mafia, put on a real night to remember for the fans.
With no opening act, it was on DJ Cypress to make sure the crowd were loosened up and ready for Shoreline to take the stage, and he sure did. Speaking to fans before the show, who waited “2 hours in the freezing cold for this,” anticipated high energy, mosh pits and most importantly – “getting turnt.” Shoreline Mafia delivered the fans exactly what they wanted.
From crowd favourites like Bands to hits from their latest project like Wings and Fell in Love, the fans showed out and sang along to practically every word. Within the space of a year, Shoreline Mafia put on two memorable, sold out shows in London. It’s clear the city has embraced them, and that they’ve embraced the city back.
I wouldn’t be surprised if I saw them back in London again soon, and I’ll definitely be waiting.
