The first ever Ends Festival was filled with fun, arts, music and food

On Saturday June 1st, London graced us with amazing weather just in time for festival season. To kick-start summer, 14HQ were invited to attend The Ends Festival, located in Croydons Lloyd Park. The three days were filled with some of the biggest names in music; Nas, Wizkid, Burna Boy, J Balvin, NSG, Ghetts, Damien Marley and many more. There were three stages throughout the whole festival; The Main stage, The FootAsylum stage and The Future stage. The Future stage was a stage for upcoming artists and talent. I really appreciate The Ends Festival for putting time to think about upcoming artists and giving them a platform to share their music.
The Ends Festival is a brand new, music and food festival, showcasing all the types of food and music in one weekend that you could ask for. I attended the second day of the festival, and it wouldn’t be a festival without Afrobeats. Wizkid was the headline act on day 2 of the festival and other acts such a Maleek Berry, Wande Coal, DJ Spinall, Juls, the Compozer, Kojo Funds and Krauim performed. Teni was the first act to start the show on Saturday around 2PM, bringing amazing energy to the stage, performing all her most popular songs, from the likes of Askamaya, Case, Fake Jersey and her new single Sugar Mummy. Kranium; an artist from Jamaica also made an appearance at the festival. Things got very interesting as he invited some girls on stage to dance.
Wizkid was my favourite act. He performed all of his hits from the old school tunes to the new school. He then brought out NSG and they performed smash hit Options and their latest song OT Bop, which was out of this world, the crowd really were having a great time. Maleek Berry had the best dancers for his set, his whole team was definitely ready and on job for festival season and then he then brought out Kojo Funds, as they performed a song together.
The Ends Festival was a really good 3 day experience and conception. I loved how this festival brought all types of music lovers together, filled with so much diversity and fun.
The way the team transformed the whole park was really creative and different from all the fun fair rides, stage layout, food trucks, banners of celebrities on each gate surrounding the whole park from legends such as Nas, Wizkid and the late Nipsey Hussle. We go again next year.
