‘The best Pablo since Yeezy’ lives up to the hype

I-D magazine named Norwegian based band Boy Pablo as ‘the best Pablo since Yeezy’. My interest was peaked already. After researching into the group, recognising the name from my YouTube recommendations (which apparently is how a lot of people discovered Boy Pablo) and listening to their music, to then see they were currently in the midst of their ‘Everytime tour’ and had two sold out shows in London, in the same night, at Queen of Hoxton and Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen respectively, I decided to attend.
I attended the first of the two shows and was part of a sold out crowd. I’ll be the first to admit; indie, pop, acoustic music is not my favourite genre of music, but boy, did Boy Pablo put on a great show. Boy Pablo songs are incredibly catchy and easy to sing along too. Within one minute, you’ll find yourself dancing in rhythm while singing every word to the chorus. The band itself, literally made up of a family (uncles and cousins) have great stage presence and chemistry, along with a lot of humour.
They premiered unreleased material to the sold out crowd, along with fan favourites Dance Baby (which is ridiculously catchy by the way) and the bands latest single Losing You (a wild sing along occurred throughout the entire song). The humbleness of the band was also on display after the show; having conversations and taking pictures with all the fans, then packing up and heading 10 minutes down the road to perform the second of back to back sold out shows.
Boy Pablo put on a great show; London is already waiting for your next one.
